Erik Jacobs

Mr. Erik Jacobs is Co-Director of the Willard Chorus program, serving more than 500 singers across seven choirs. Under his leadership, the program has thrived with consistent Superior ratings at District Assessments and festivals, and Willard has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Musical Excellence. Prior to his current role, Mr. Jacobs directed choirs at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School in South Riding, VA, where his ensembles also earned top honors and the school received repeated Blue Ribbon recognition. He began his choral teaching career in Prince William County, establishing himself as a dedicated educator and advocate for excellence in choral music. 

Mr. Jacobs is a frequent guest conductor and presenter, and an active member of both the Virginia Choral Directors Association (VCDA) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He has served as a Repertoire & Resources Chair and on the leadership council of the VA-ACDA, contributing to the growth of choral music statewide.

Beyond the classroom, Mr. Jacobs serves as Co-Founder and Associate Artistic Director of the South Loudoun Youth Chorale, a community-based organization committed to elevating choral artistry and expanding opportunities for young singers throughout Loudoun County. 

Mr. Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. In addition to his work as a choral director, he maintains an active career as an instrumentalist, performing throughout the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas.
